Words and Music by text Filip Prahl I couldn't get it out of my head. I'm still afraid I have heard it before, I really don't know. I hope it's the original. -Filip Words and Music by Filip Prahl Well.... probably a sort of a moving song... but maybe about something completely different... I do not know, actually. -Filip Words and Music by text Filip Prahl It came to my mind late evening in a fastfood restaurant in Luxembourg. I wrote it down right there. -Filip Words and Music by Filip Prahl ... well, the fairies, I really saw them... -Filip Words and Music by Filip Prahl Actually my first song, that we've done... as a band... -Filip Words and Music by Filip Prahl This is the only song by which we are still coming back to our beginnings in sixties. -Filip Words and Music by Filip Prahl It just came to me... I found the basic chords progression and suddenly I had the lyrics and so on. -Filip Words and Music by Filip Prahl The beginning of the first verse is from a leaflet I saw somewhere... A sort of a christian organisation leaflet... But the song is not about religion. Just about life... maybe... -Filip I wrote music a long time after the lyrics. The lyrics come from early spring 2001, I wrote it in the night coach from Prague to Kladno. I added music in summer (2001) but the original music was slightly different. I experimented with a new guitar processor and the song was a bit harder and faster. But it slowed down the very same day and todays version is similar to that. Maybe... It was influenced by Bhagavadgita, which I started to read (and haven't finished yet), so... influenced by Indian music? Maybe a sound of sitar would be OK in it. -Filip Words and Music by Filip Prahl I wrote this song after a really unbeliavable afternoon. I was walking around in my room, played something on my guitar and thinking and looking for answers. I had to learn for an exam at University, but this seemed to be more, much more important. But I didn't find the answers at that time, although now I know they are in the song, well, they were always in it. -Filip Words and Music by Filip Prahl I like rain. I love walking in it. For it can really wash trouble away. Sometimes. -Filip Words and Music by Filip Prahl There is the impression from Liverpool, from England, Ireland, from the photograph where I am standing by the Strawberry Field and looking like a walrus, impressions from Woolton and from the valley in Wales which reminded me the picture of Rivendel, from Cashel, from the overnight travelling on ferries over the English Channel... and so on. There is really a lot in it. -Filip Words and Music by Filip Prahl Sometimes you meet someone who lives outside our world. Who wants to live outside. Elsewhere. To live with people and in the places which might be THERE. That's what the song is about. About meeting someone like this. And about the fact that you can probably never get close to such a person. Not close enough. Not really close. -Filip Music by Tina, Words by Tina & Filip Prahl I scribbled it with a pencil into a notepad, when I was waiting in a hospital... terribly long time... but Tina improved it a lot. The final version is much better. -Filip |
